This past Monday Justice, Peace & Service had the meeting. We did our meeting on needs, wants and blessings. First we watched a short movie clip, then we split up into 6 groups. Each group had to decide how to spend money for a family with a different economic level. The groups got a list of items the families could buy and how much they cost, and each family had a different budget. The teens had to decide how to use the budget to meet the family's needs. The next activity divided the group into 4's, and each person played a role in a family: mom, dad, teen, tween. Each "family" was told they had an extra thousand dollars to spend, and a list of things they could buy, and each family had to decide what would be best for the family. They also had to make a decision about spending more than the $1000 and going into debt. After another movie clip and a wrap up, we ended the meeting with a closing prayer & song.
