  • I’m not Catholic, how do I know when to sit, stand and kneel?

Because the Holy Mass is worship for the entire self (mind, body & spirit) it contains many ancient gestures and rituals which may not be familiar to many. Don't worry! We're just glad that you are with us. If you are able and willing, you can simply follow the lead of our parishioners who are at the Mass with you.

  • I’m not Catholic, is it okay for me to receive Holy Communion?

Holy Communion, or The Eucharist, is the Source and Summit of the Catholic Faith, and is one of the most sacred practices Catholics participate in. Catholics believe that the host (bread) is literally transformed into the body of Christ, by the priest offering the mass. Although many may, understandably, consider Holy Communion as only symbolic, Catholics and Orthodox Christians treat this sacrament with the utmost reverence because they believe it is the true presence of Christ.

If you are not Catholic, we respectfully ask that you refrain from receiving Holy Communion. However, if, at the time of Holy Communion, you would like to receive a blessing, please come forward in line, and it would be an honor to do so. You can indicate this by crossing your arms over your chest as you approach the priest or Eucharistic minister.

  • I want to become Catholic, but I don't know where to start. Who should I talk to?

We want to accompany you in this journey. To become Catholic (for Adults) you must go through the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA). A great place to start is to speak with our Faith Formation Director, Kim Glowicki. You can contact her by clicking the button below. You can also speak to one of our clergy members, who can guide to your next step.

It takes a lot of resources to run a parish.
