Music Ministry
As Catholics, we are called through Baptism, to share our gifts and talents, making them a gift back to God, in service of the Church and Faith Community. Music Ministry exists to help us glorify God together and to enhance the beauty of our liturgies through the gift of music.
Adult Choir
The Adult Choir is a large group of dedicated men and women, high-school age or older. We rehearse Wednesday evenings from 7-8:30pm, and normally sing at the 10am Mass, on Sundays. Additionally, the Adult choir will assist at major Liturgical Feasts and Sacramental celebrations throughout the year. Singing experience and the ability to read music are not required.
Resurrection Choir
The Resurrection Choir is a group of volunteers who leads the singing of hymns and responses at Funeral Liturgies. This is a low-stress option for those who would like to become involved with Music ministry, but perhaps don't have the time to commit to a regular reheasal schedule. Requests to sing are sent out as details of a funeral become known (often with little notice), and those who can make it participate to ehance the liturgy. The nature of this group means that not everyone can make it all the time. That is okay!
Cantors
We encourage gifted singers to share their talents with their faith community by leading and singing hymns/psalms at Sunday Mass. As the standard for Cantors is higher than for Choir, prospective cantors are auditioned.
Professional cantors are available to sing at weddings and funerals. Please contact Jill Goryca for information regarding availability.
Music for Weddings & Funerals
The Director of Music, Jill Goryca, is available as organist and song leader for music at weddings and funerals.
For weddings, please contact Jill Goryca at least three months prior to the ceremony.
For funerals, the Parish Office will coordinate with the Director regarding selected music and the date/time of the funeral.
Outside soloists and instrumentalists are always welcome, but arrangements must be made in coordination with the Music Director, Jill Goryca.
Contemporary Ensemble
Guitarists, instrumentalists and singers who serve occasionally at Sunday Mass, this group is open to audition to interested volunteers. We usually rehearse on Thursday nights.
Children's Choir
Children who are old enough to read are invited to join this music ministry. For Fall 2026, children are invited to sing on the last Sunday of the month, at the 12 noon Mass. We will rehease on the third Sunday of the month, from 11:15-11:45am.
Children's Christmas Choir:
We rehearse the Sundays in Advent from 11:15-11:45am. This group sings at the Christmas Eve Family Mass.
