Catholic Services Appeal

You can contribute to the 2022 CSA campaign using the link below.
CSA Online giving - click here!

Dear Parishioners,
Each year, the Archdiocese of Detroit sponsors the annual Catholic Services Appeal, the CSA.  The purpose of the CSA is to provide funding for the many programs and ministries offered by the Archdiocese to the People of God in southeast Michigan and to our parishes and Catholic institutions.  Please read the enclosed information regarding all the programs, ministries and offices supported by the CSA.
Many of us this year will receive our CSA campaign letters, brochures and pledge cards directly from the Archdiocese of Detroit.  If you have contributed to the CSA for the past four years, you will receive information regarding the CSA shortly after April 15th.  Our parishioners that are new to the parish or that haven’t contributed to CSA in the past four years will receive a mailing from us in May.  For all parishioners, the Archdiocese is asking you to mail your donations directly to them in the envelope that will be enclosed with your mailing.
As in previous years, donations received over our parish’s CSA target are returned to the parish.  If there is a shortfall, the parish will have to transfer funds from our budget to meet the CSA target.  To surpass this year’s CSA target, what is needed, is for us to challenge ourselves to sacrifice a little more.  This can be accomplished by asking every parish household, if possible, for a donation of $275.00.  Some may only give this amount and others will be able to give more, while still others may only be able to afford less.  Please remember, what is asked is not an equal gift but an equal sacrifice.  This year I am offering $275.00 to the CSA.  This is in addition to what I contribute to the parish in my weekly contribution envelopes.  I invite you to join me and offer the gift that is right for you
Each year a new mailing regarding CSA is sent from the AOD in the spring. When you receive your mailing regarding this year’s CSA, please read the information very carefully and support the CSA to the best of your financial ability.  Your participation in the CSA supports not only the Archdiocese of Detroit, but St. Colette Parish as well.  The support of all of us is critical to our ability to do the work God has called us to do.  In faith, we must continue our mission to share the light of Christ in southeast Michigan, especially during these times of great need and opportunity.
          Sincerely yours in Christ,
     Rev. Gary Michalik
     Pastor
